My kids are a hoot! Seriously, MJ is constantly hitting us with hilarious one liners and today while Amaya napped,. he was feeling lonely...maybe a little solitude because he whipped out a prisoner's favorite pal...his harmonica (actually it's Ciara's  and he boosted it!). ENjoy

WHIP YOUR HAIR!!

I thought MJ was my dancing machine who would take after (only in the dancing skills) a popular artist with the same initials but this Amaya Tiana LOVES to dance! Enjoy the clip of her Willow Smith impersonation!

While Amaya was working her dancing skills, her brother was morphing into a beautiful flower...he likes to watch movies while sitting in my big (unused) flower pot!! Got to love these kids!

 

Don't judge me based on the next clip, I wanted to edit me out but I couldnt figure out how to do it and Amaya popping her gums was too funny to leave out!

Santa's Closet...

Last Sunday I decided to take the kids to Santa's workshop in the mall for a picture...I can hear it now, I know people - particulary minority people - are not big on having our kids sit on a stranger's lap, asking for toys, etc. or even allowing our kids to believe in Santa. In fact, I often go to great lengths to remind little girls and young ladies NOT to sit on grown men's laps (we can discuss that later). BUT Mario and I decided to let the kids enjoy their imagination and believe. So we have this hybrid belief going on (or maybe only I do!). So I tell MJ that we go to church to talk to God and praise Jesus, who will in return put in anorder with Santa, and that Santa's helpers (the elves) make the toys (or order them online). So Santa is just like a decorated united states post office delivery guy! ;-)

Anyhoo, MJ kept talking about he was going to talk to Santa Closet and I said "Papi his name is Santa Claus." He told me I was wrong and considering that all of their gifts are sitting in my closet, maybe he is right!! LOL! Enjoy the pics of us getting in the spirit!

This was as good as it got. MJ was a great sport (I bribed him!) but Princess Amaya had a crying fit! MJ cracked under pressure, when Santa asked what he wanted for Christmas he got tongue-tied and didnt have an answer!

Amaya refused to touch it...the little defense lawyer in her (I am going to claim that as opposed to the defendant in her!) said I am not giving you any evidence to use against me...I plead the 5th!

Her first nursery rhyme....Lodi Dodi

Some fathers read Goodnight Moon to their children, others enjoy Doctor Seus BUT MARIO ANTHONY REYES, SR. prefers rap songs by Slick Rick...hence why MJ can spit Lodi Dodi on que at any family gathering and why now our daughter picks up a microphone and trys to beat box like she is related to Doug E Fresh! Enjoy...

LOL, here are some other pictures from the day we put up the tree. At one point, MJ and Amaya started terrorizing each other and without prompting they made up!



Amaya in timeout for hitting and yelling at her brother! I usually stay out of their fights, I am trying to teach them early to resolve conflict but sometimes Amaya really takes advantage of her (smaller) size and takes for granted that MJ wont hit her back.  Every once in a while he will lay her out and she will fall back but most times she just gets sneaky. And yes, I was greatly moved by the single tear! I'm a sucka and she is my spoiled baby!



She knew what to do in order to get out of time out. SHe said, "Brudda (her version of Brother), Brudda...sawwe (her version of sorry!) She is doing a LOT of talking at 15 months).

Well he accepts it because I am sitting there recording it but the look on his face tells the real story.."I am so sick of this little girl. When is that stork guy gonna come back and get his kid!!"

A little backwards but Trick or Treat.....

This year MJ and Amaya didnt go trick or treating, instead they went to Disney on Ice to watch the story of Toy Story played out on ice.

Happy Birthday JESUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

Last Friday, MJ had his first Christmas concert at his new school, Arlington Baptist School. He is in the K3 classroom. If I am being honest, I must admit when we were looking at new schools I was excited about MJ going to a Christian school and learning about my homeboy JC (Jesus Christ) but I was even more excited about the fact that they do a Christmas and Spring concert. By now, you should all realize that I am one of "those" moms - you know the ones that make a milestone out of EVERYTHING! Well, apparently I didnt realize it but my dad has become one of "those" grandparents. He drove all the way from NY to see MJ perform one Mind you, I dont think Sam Pryor ever attended ONE of my softball games or school plays 5 minutes from the house...but I am not hating ;-) I am excited that he has such a special relationship with MJ (his twin!). Anyhoo, here is some of the footage. MJ's class comes in around the 1:54minute mark. ENJOY!
