MJ's first (double) ear infection

The poor litte booboo had to head back to the doctor on Tuesday morning because his ears had been bothering him. As it turns out, he has a double ear infection (mild) but nevertheless he is on an antiobotic and has ear drops! Poor baby. But the thing is this little boy is a trooper. You would never had known from watching him that anything is wrong. I noticed he had been playing in his ear and his appetite had decreased some so I said to myself, better safe than sorry. Doctor Koomson was impressed that this was his first ear infection at 7 1/2 months considering he has been in daycare since he was 3 months! Apparently, its very common for kids in daycare to swap all kind of germs. That is so frustrating because you want to protect your children from all harms but then you take them to daycare and they are exposed to so much. But I guess that's life because in life there will be many many things you can't (and probably shouldn't) shield your children from. And also your children may experience things that they feel they can't talk to you about (or in MJ's case, they can't talk to you about). Instead you have to be there to pick up on the cues and to step in when you feel they are in over their heads. Wow, being a parent is stressful!
